WYBLE WOOD #10

__________

Shelf Curtain Rod

Task at hand..... construct a curtain rod and shelf from these rough sawn oak boards.

The windows (seen here with project completed and installed) measure over 12'.

Two end support brackets were attached to the wall. They support both the rod and the shelf. The center shelf bracket can also support the center of the curtain rod if it becomes necessary in the future.

The end support shown with rod in place and shelf resting on top.
Galley rail decorates the shelf edges.

Plenty of room on the shelf for display purposes.
The three supports can be raised or lowered to change the rod and shelf spacing between the windows and the ceiling.

The shelf is built in two sections that are easily handled by one person.
Each section sets atop the end support and the center support base.
The sections are joined together by a short center galley rail piece.

As always, until next time, take care
