Maple Adirondack Chairs

Adirondack chairs belong on the deck. Right?

Well, in this case, one of them found a cozy home in the kitchen, the perfect spot to sit and wait on dinner and visit with the cook.

A bit of curl in some of the maple adds interest to an already beautiful wood.

All joints were glued, screwed, and plugged, followed with LOTS of sanding and many coats of satin polyurethane.

This order was for two maple Adirondack chairs. They have both found a welcome home no matter which room of the house they are in. Only one problem...... more people than chairs.

Only one solution.....

Two more chairs!

This pair of chairs has more brown in the maple. Maintaining the flow of grain and color across the chair requires keeping track of which board each part was cut from.

Now a chair in review.

I always save my favorite picture for last. While one chair was posing for the review, it's partner was sitting just off stage, enjoying the warm sunlight streaming in the window.

As always, until next time, take care
